Blogs: 4 Blogging Platforms For Beginners

Blogs, a very well-known term among people who love to read. It’s one of the best pastime entertainment for readers. Not only that, many useful pieces of information can be found in them as well. Though it’s informative and fun for the readers what’s the benefit for those who write such blogs, the bloggers?

Well in the old day’s bloggers under certain production companies were able to earn money through their writing. Or some wrote in their free time as a hobby. But with the advancement of modern technology blogging has evolved as well.

Many platforms have started to build their core around it. And more importantly for marketing purposes, it has become an essential tool. Almost every website has a separate blogging area no matter which platform they are from.

And that’s quite natural. Generally, many new sites that are just for selling products and services don’t always have much content, to begin with. Thus it’s quite hard for them to get traffic from their content no matter how quality and meaningful content they have.

How is blogging useful?

Here’s where blogging comes in. By integrating the blogging platform they are giving visitors a reason to visit their domain, which results in the increase of traffic on site. Because of which search engines will start to notice your presence even more and give you a higher ranking on the result page.

Besides this, with the increase of your blog’s popularity, you would be offered sponsorship from different businesses to promote their brands.

But that’s not the end of it there are many platforms that allow you to earn through your blogs. Yeah, earn real money! Your payment is calculated by the statistics of your blog posts and popularity.

But don’t think it’s that easy. If that were the case then every new blogger would have been a wealthy man after the fast few days of blogging.

Benefits

Starting a blog is like opening a new website where you have to broadcast yourself so that people know of your presence. And the fun part is if you are tired of it or after a while think that this isn’t for you, then you can still use your writing skills and earn from home online through other platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Patreon, Streaming Plug, etc.

But that’s for another day let’s get back to blogging. After hearing so much about it I know you are getting pumped to get started. But before that, you must decide on how do you want to proceed. You can do either positing under sites that already have a high domain authority or can simply start your own site.

Now if you are to start your own site then it might take a long time? It will also be costly. Whereas posting from high authoritative sites can give me more traffic.

That is wrong. Cause true, high authoritative sites get more priority over the new site. But that doesn’t mean that your blog will be ranked higher than others. Remember you are not the only one that’s posting. There are many bloggers some are the same as you whereas others have been posting for a long time.

Blogging  Platforms

As for your own blog site yeah it might be slow at first but once it picks up traction it will become one of your biggest assets. Even search engines prefer it in such wy. Also, guest posting on other sites has a lot of limitations.

As for the cost of a new site, for people who just want to get their feet wet.   You can just use the free services out there as well.  And the most fun part is all such sites have premium plans as well, meaning you can convert or move them to your personal domain and hosting at any moment.

Four  blogging sites

Let me introduce you to 4 such sites from when you can easily start your blogging journey.

  • WordPress: When talking about wordpress there are two sites that come to mind wordpress.com and worpress.org. Both provide wordpress the only difference is in wordpress.com you can sign up and start a site for free but the free package has limitations but it’s enough if you are just to learn and experiment.
On the other hand the in wordpress.org you have to download it and install it on your bought domain hosting. Though it might look like a hassle it’s way more flexible and customizable than the other.
  • Blogger: Almost everyone knows of blogger.com or at least heard of it. Since it’s by google and one of the oldest free blogging sites there is. Though it might not be as pretty and flexible it gets the job done. Like wordpress you can also upgrade to a premium account and change the domain to your liking.
Besides you can also enable google ad sense and earn from the ads as well. This is one of the features that has made bloggers even more popular.
  • Vocal: Vocal is a little different than previous sites. The functions are similar and it also has premium features as well but unlike the two where you customize the site and your pages as you want in vocal, you can’t do that. Actually, unlike those platforms, it’s like a community of bloggers who open their profiles and post their blogs on their platforms. Since it has a high DA it’s ranked quite high in the search engine. That’s not all you can see other writer’s writings as a reference as well to look how they have earned such views.
Also, you can earn from home online by posting here as well. Your earning is determined by calculating your blog performance. This way you will be inspired to get more views to earn more and write more.
  • Medium:  Similar to vocal medium is also a group of communities that hosts a lot of bloggers who can not only post their blog but also earn from the views and visits as well. Medium’s da is way higher than vocal and more well-known as well.
In such a platform, you drive traffic through the use of your social media platform and your email list to reach out to potential readers.

Lastly

I think by now you have got the gist of things. That blog post is a wonderful marketing tool as well as a great way to spread your knowledge as well while earning some money in the process. And as I have mentioned before you can also use your blogging abilities separately through platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Patreon, Streaming Plug, and many more.
