Note: Through these steps, take care of the difference between the underground wire fence transmitter (fence transmitter), and the wire locator transmitter (locator transmitter).

• Disconnect the two cables of the underground pet fence from the fence transmitter box.
• Connect these two wires to the clamps of the locator transmitter.
• Power on the locator transmitter and receiver, to start the wire tracking process.
• Follow the twisted wire track and usually notice the sound tone of the receiver, which indicates that the wire are not broken.
• If there is a noticeable decrease or stop of the tone, this indicates a break in the wire, you must fix it before the next check of the rest of the cable loop.
• In certain place in the garden you will find that the twisted wire is released into two single wires, select a single direction to follow.
• Notice any noticeable change or stop in the tone, this indicates a break in this single wire, you have to reconnect it before continuing.
• If there are many break positions in the wire, it is recommended to replace a long part of the wire with a continuous new part, better than doing many splices in it.
