Nowadays, customized grills serve as a flashy, fun accessory that pretty much anyone can wear. It’s no wonder why lots of people all over the world wear grills or are interested in grills.
However, purchasing a customized grill is one thing and being able to properly clean your grill is another. Failing to properly clean your grill means your grill will become a home for bacteria which can lead to bad breath in the long run. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to have shiny teeth with smelly breath. That’s why in this guide, I’ll be teaching you ways to clean your customized grills.
Ways to clean your customized grills
Grills are of different types and what makes them different is the material used in making the grill. If gold is used then it’s a gold grill and if silver is used then it’s a silver grill.
Since there are different types of grills, different methods are used to clean each type. However, since we are not focusing on a particular type of grill, in this article, you’ll be learning ways to clean your grills whether you own a customized gold, silver, or diamond grill.
Mouthwash
A mouthwash is an antiseptic solution that’s used to reduce the number of microbes in the mouth. Mouthwashes are not only used to clean the mouth but they are also used to kill bad breath that’s why they can be used in cleaning grills.
Grills are worn on the teeth and the same way plaque and bacteria can build up on the teeth if uncared for, they can also build up on your customized grills. When you don’t clean your customized grills, the bacteria will build up and ultimately lead to bad breath when worn. That’s where mouthwashes come in, it’s antiseptic properties can be used to kill the microbes (bacteria).
Procedure
- Remove the grills from your mouth.
- Place the grills under running warm water and use a soft toothbrush to remove bacteria or debris.
- Fill a cup with mouthwash and soak the grills in it for about 10 minutes. You can stir the mouthwash together with the grills (optional).
- Finally, after the 10 minutes, waiting period has elapsed, remove the grills from the mouthwash solution and wash it using warm water.
- Dry the grills using a clean and soft cloth to ensure that you aren’t adding any new bacteria after washing or cleaning them.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste is a gel dentifrice or pastes that’s placed on a toothbrush and used to clean and maintain the aesthetics and health of the teeth.
Just like mouthwashes, tubes of toothpaste contain antibacterial agents like triclosan, zinc chloride, etc., and those antibacterial agents help in reducing bad breath and tartar. Due to the antibacterial properties present in toothpaste, they can also be used in cleaning grills.
Procedure
- Remove the grills from your mouth.
- Get a non-abrasive toothpaste and toothbrush.
- Gently brush the grills, inside and outside. Proper brushing is required to remove debris, germs, and bacteria from the grills.
- When you are done, rinse them using clean water.
- Finally use a clean soft cloth to dry the grills or you can place them on a tissue to dry.
