Using blue led light strips is a good way to organize both full-fledged lighting and decorative architectural lighting. To do this, modern manufacturers offer a variety of tapes – from options with low power to very bright ones, from single-colour to multi-colour RGB models. The scope of LED strips is divided into 3 groups:
- For general lighting. Such tapes have a luminous flux sufficient to organize full-fledged artificial lighting. Their specific power consumption averages 11 W/m. The tape is located from 2-3 rows of LEDs.
- for local lighting. The specific power consumption is slightly lower – 7-11 W / m.
- Decorative. In connection with this scope of application, they have a minimum specific power consumption – about 7 W / m.
Rules for mounting LED strip
It is necessary to remove heat from the LEDs. If you do not follow the rule with gluing to the metal profile, then due to overheating, the luminous flux emitted by the tape in the first couple of years of use may fall by 2 or more times.
To organize lighting using LED strip, you will need:
- Controller for lighting control.
- A profile that matches the width of the belt in width.
- Power supply for 12 or 24 V (manufactured in large quantities and are quite inexpensive).
- A connector for fixing the wiring and individual parts of the tape to connect it – a connector.
- Remote control panel.
