And remember the old days when we used to play such types of games on our conventional windows system. Most people, in fact, still do. So, for all the solitaire lovers out there, here are the top four best solitaire games.

Klondike Solitaire

Klondike solitaire is apparently the most popular version of solitaire. So much so that when the term “Solitaire” is used alone generally refers to this game. When most people think of the solitaire game, this is the variant that mostly comes to mind. Klondike solitaire is a classic game that everybody should try at least once.

In this card game, a tableau of seven piles is arranged on the table with the top card face up. The remaining cards will be faced down to the side of the tableau to form a draw pile. The objective of the game is to arrange 52 card-deck into four-suit specific foundation stacks, beginning with the ace and ending with the King, on empty areas known as foundations. As cards are revealed in the columns or are turned up from the draw pile, you can move them to the foundation stacks in ascending order.

Pyramid Solitaire

The name pyramid solitaire gets its name due to its triangular shape in which the cards are dealt at the beginning of the game. It is also known as Solitaire 13 and Pile of 28. The rules of this version are very simple and take only a few minutes to play every hand. The setup for this game includes arranging 28 cards that are dealt face-up in a pyramid-shaped tableau of seven stages. The remaining 52-card deck forms a draw pile.

The goal is to remove all the cards from the pyramid by creating pairs whose values add up to 13. You can draw cards from the draw pile to match them with any exposed card. You will win the game when all the cards of the pyramid got paired and removed from the table. The faster the cards are paired, the higher you can score!

Out of the various forms of solitaire casino games, freecell is the one that most resembles Klondike. However, since freecell needs a more cautious and thoughtful approach, it is considered a more strategic variant. A single deck of 52-card is dealt face-up into eight columns. The aim of the game is to move all cards face up on the foundations in sequence, starting with an ace until a king of identical suit.

Also, in these foundation piles, there are four empty storage cells where you can temporarily store a card from the bottom of any column, and this is where the fun of this game lies. Once the card is in a free cell, it can only be called in a play again to create a foundation sequence. Exchanging cards is not possible.

Spider Solitaire

Though Klondike is the most prominent variant in general, Spider solitaire leads the spot within the 2-deck types of solitaire games. It is believed to be one of the simplest and winnable games which is played with one suit. However, due to the numerous game updates, it has also become one of the most challenging variants, which can be played with two or four suits.

The game begins after dealing 54 cards out in a tableau of 10 piles. The topmost card of each pile is dealt face up. The goal of the game is to create 8 foundation piles with 8 stacks of cards arranged from the king going down to ace. Beginner players should start with one suit spider and then gradually progress to the more challenging and technical versions later.

The Solitaire game has come a long way. Before all you had to do was open pre-installed solitaire on your desktop. With a just single click, you were taken into the solitaire world. But now you can play your favorite solitaire card games online on your phone anytime, anywhere without any worry about having a pre-installed game.
