Bad habits that a successful streamer should avoid
Streaming has become so popular over the years that even little kids wanna open a channel and start streaming. And why wouldn’t they? Not only is it a wonderful place to stream your talent but also a great platform to earn from home online.
Now you might think since even kids are able to become streamers then it must be very easy. Becoming a streamer is easy but becoming a successful one well that’s another story. If everything was that easy then wouldn’t we all be millionaires by now. So how do you become a successful streamer?
Well to become one you must be hard working. As streaming isn’t just being in front of the camera. It’s more than that. There’s a script, crew members, editing, rehearsals, and many more. At first, it might seem that there’s a whole lot to take in. But believe me when you start doing it everything comes systematically. As each one is like a step. For instance, to build a good streamer you would need actors then when you have actors you would need a camera to record their actions. Now to act they would need a script to follow. See! You don’t need to memorize anything you just need to be self-aware and be attentive and hardworking.
Now before you start anything I wanna give you a heads up of some of the bad habits that might become an obstacle on your path to becoming a successful streamer. So, let me tell you about them to give you a heads up about them.
Being shy and quiet
This is a common habit of many newcomers. They become quiet and shy in front of the camera as they know that many people are seeing them. At first, it may seem quite harmless and in some cases, it might seem natural but that’s only at the begging. But if you remain quiet during various streams in the future then it becomes an annoyance. As not only does this go against the purpose of being a streamer it also acts as a sign of disrespect towards your audience.
Distracted during the live stream
During the live stream, it’s very important to keep an eye on the chat window as your viewers will interact with you through it. And if they feel neglected then it can be very disastrous. Just think about it if you are talking to someone and he acts like doesn’t even see you how would you feel? The same applies here. As live streams are one of the few places when viewers are able to interact with their favorite content creators.
Not being frequent
It’s seen in various cases that many rookies tend to post streams after long intervals since they don’t have that many followers or they don’t feel like it. This kind of habit is a big no-no. As if you take too much time then people would think your channel is dead. This is true, especially for new streamers. If you want people to notice you should do frequent uploads to show people that you are active. But in an organized way. That way people will know when to expect your videos. By doing this not only are telling others that your channel is not dead but also how punctual you are.
