Sabarmati Ashram 

A visit to the Sabarmati Ashram is one of the most popular and usual things to do in Ahmedabad. This was Gandhiji’s humble residence, and the museum created here, Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, has kept a complete, informative chronicle of his life and teachings. Sunset Drive-In Cinema 

Among the many activities to do in Ahmedabad at night, seeing a movie at the popular and large drive-in theatre is a must-do for anybody visiting the city. This open-air theatre features Asia’s largest screen and is the first of its kind, with a capacity of 665 automobiles. Kite Museum 

This museum is the first of its sort in the country and the second in the world, and it will teach you about ancient sports as you’ve never seen before. This location was the vision of Mr Bhanubhai Shah, who had been collecting kites since he was 21 years old. The museum currently houses 125 different types of kites, which are sure to spark your imagination and transport you back to your childhood.

Dada Hari Vav 

This intriguing sandstone stepwell in the Solanki architectural style was built in 1485 by Dhai Harir, a household woman of Mahmud Begada. This royal harem administrator built a mosque and a tomb in which she was eventually buried. This well was dug deep to hold enough rainfall and meet the harem dilemma during the dry months.

Hathisingh Jain Temple 

The famed Hathisingh Jain Temple, built in 1848, is one of the best Jain temples in Ahmedabad. It is named after Dharmanath, the 15th Tirthankar of the Jains. Its two-story white marble architecture and tiled patio provide a relaxing environment. This majestic temple’s courtyard is flanked by a scary series of pergolas with 52 idols with exquisite sculptures.

Kankaria Lake 

This is Ahmedabad’s largest lake, located on the city’s southern outskirts. Looking for things to do in Ahmedabad?
