Advantages of LED Lights
LED lights offer many advantages over traditional lamps and build on the best parts of their predecessors, making them inefficient. Here’s what LEDs offer and make them so useful:
1. Long lasting
The LED components and the way they emit light significantly extend the life of these lamps. While the correct and incorrect use of other lamps reduces the life of other lamps, the low heat generation, life and energy efficiency of LED lamps allow other types of lamps to last thousands of hours.

Usually important parts of the lamp, such as B. the filament, weaken over time, so that the lamp goes out. The life of an LED lamp is based on the time it takes for the luminous flux of the lamp to drop to 30%. So if you don’t mind it will probably last longer than the estimated average life of the box. Some cheaper LED bulbs only last around 5,000 hours, which is still 4,000 to 3,000 times longer than the average bulb life, but many brand name bulbs are estimated to last more than 25,000 hours.
2. Energy efficiency
Due to the high light output per watt, lights can convert around 70% of their energy into light. This makes them much more efficient than other lamps which waste a lot of energy when converted into heat. All you need is a 6 watt LED bulb to produce as much light as a 40 watt bulb and its lower temperature makes it safer to use. For comparison, light bulbs can be so hot that they should be kept away from potentially burning children and can cause a fire if accidentally exposed to flammable materials such as curtain fabric.
FACTS LIGHT: In November 1992, Windsor Castle burned down for nine hours after a painter lit a 1000-watt halogen lamp near heavy curtains to light it. More than 100 rooms were damaged and repairs cost £ 36.5 million.
Replacing a 60 watt lamp reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 160 kg per year. Reducing 10 lamps in the house with lights would reduce CO2 emissions by 1,599 kg per year.
3. High brightness and intensity

4. Individual color selection
Bulbs need gels or filters to create different colors and shades of light. LEDs, on the other hand, offer a wide range of colors and color temperatures without the use of gels or filters, which can burn or fade over time. Lights have a real diode (or phosphorescent coating) that changes to change the color of the light they emit, so you can be sure it will retain the same pigment for the rest of its life.
5. Generates radiant heat
When an incandescent lamp heats the filament to a light-emitting temperature, the LED lamp emits electromagnetic energy in the form of light during electrification. By converting energy into light instead of heat (without using heat to create light), lights can operate at much lower temperatures than other types of light bulbs.
The low heat generated by the lights is dissipated by a special heat which absorbs all the heat and safely dissipates it from the diodes. Although the tripod or base looks hot, the lights themselves do not emit infrared radiation in the beam, which means it is not heat. This makes them ideal for use in heat sensitive areas, such as art displays, as they do not remove color or dyes or other thermal damage.
PROTECTION: The lights are cold, but due to the heat dissipation they create, some models should not be kept indoors as this will affect the lamp and shorten its life. Always check the packaging or product specifications to know where to use the lamp or not.
6. Reliability
The lights are very durable and reliable: they work safely even in colder temperatures and can withstand more shocks and vibrations than other lamps because they have no filaments or other sensitive parts. This stability makes them ideal for use in areas exposed to temperature fluctuations, adverse weather conditions and impacts such as outdoor or ceiling fans.
7. Immediate relief
Do you know that sound? You turn on the lamp to look for something, but you have to wait a while before you see something, or you have already found it before the lamp reaches its maximum light output. Unlike compact fluorescent lights, which take time to warm up, the lights run at full speed as soon as the switch is turned on.
8. Direct lighting
The design allows the lights to emit light in one direction, not around them. This helps reduce power consumption as no light is lost or trapped in the reflectors and diffusers, preventing more than half of the light from leaving the lamp. Due to the directional nature of their output, LED lights are suitable for applications such as work lights and recessed lights.
