Now there are many different types of coatings available from various manufacturers but they generally fall into one of three categories: waxes, sealants, or ceramic coatings. All three have their pros and cons so let’s take a look at each individually.
Section 1 – The Pre-Wash
Give your car’s exterior surfaces a thorough pre-wash cleaning to remove any larger particles of dirt or debris. If you don’t already have one, invest in an Ultimate Snow Foam machine. It’s an incredibly effective and inexpensive way to pre-wash your car, and is much better than brushing off large particles or using compressed air. Use two buckets: One filled with two gallons of water (and Ultimate Snow Foam) and another empty bucket that you can use to wash soap suds off your car before rinsing it clean. For best results, use one hand as a squeegee while rinsing down your vehicle in long sweeping motions from top to bottom and side to side, so that no droplets remain on your paintwork.
Section 2 – Deep Cleaning
With most cars’ paintwork beginning to fade after three to five years of use, it’s important to use products that can deep clean and restore them. This process will get rid of small scratches, hazing and swirl marks left on your car from improper washing or environmental pollutants. The first step is to start by removing excess wax using Swissvax Power Cleaner. Follow up by using Swissvax Paint Cleaner for medium-sized scratches, followed by Ultimate Snow Foam for larger imperfections like swirl marks. When all of these have been removed, move onto a polish step like Glanz Wax 2 to bring out that shine you desire.
Section 3 – Protection Wax
After washing and drying your car, it’s time to add protection and shine to your paintwork. Swissvax Polish adds both of these qualities as well as colour and depth to any surface, making it truly unique. Created using an advanced paraffin wax formula, Swissvax Polish will help keep your paint looking incredible while protecting against dirt and grime. For best results, apply Swissvax Polish to a clean, dry vehicle and work in small sections at a time. Allow each section to dry for several minutes before moving on to another area. This will allow you plenty of time for buffing without causing swirl marks or leaving behind residue from your towel or applicator pad.
Section 4 – Final Drying
After being washed, dried and rinsed of all soap or cleaner residue, your car needs to be protected. The key here is using protection while keeping in mind that adding protection has its consequences as it can make future detailing harder depending on how you apply it. There are two main choices when looking for protection: coating or dressing. Both have their uses but we’ll focus on coatings for now.

Section 5 – Protection
Then follow up by applying Swissvax VOCO Paste Wax in the same manner as before and remove any residue once dry using an extra soft cloth. Finally, seal everything off with one last layer of Liquid Wax for long lasting protection against UV rays and environmental pollutants. To complete your detailing regimen, remember to apply regular maintenance every two weeks or so using either Ultimate Snow Foam or Aqua Gleam depending on what type of soap you prefer.
